Massachusetts Dog Parks

Walking your whippet frequently is critical for a happy dog, more so if you don't have a back yard with a fence. Not everyone has a fenced yard however, and even if all whippet owners had such a luxury, the space may not be large enough for running at top speed. Massachusetts has several off leash dog parks available to choose from - but make sure to check that the dog park you select actually has a fence, as sighthounds will engage in a chase without any thought to traffic. There are different types of parks, rules vary depending on the park you choose, and of course, etiquette is always important. Lastly, it's a good idea to have a sense as to how high your whippet can jump. If the fence isn't adequate it won't prevent your excited whippet from jumping the fence in hot pursuit of anything that catches his eye! ~Have a blast!
